Statewide Supplier Diversity Policy

This is important for businesses and community leaders interested in financial equity.  As you know, once DES sets state policy, then all state agencies must follow it.  DES follows a democratic process where we listen to and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.  We hope that we will have high participation from Latinx businesses across the state.  This policy only covers goods and services (not construction, grants, or client services).  The state spends billions of dollars each year in goods and services for business professional services, automotive, janitorial, construction supplies, translation and interpreter services, and so many other areas.

Registration is now open for the DRAFT Statewide Supplier Diversity Policy.  Please share this with businesses who might be interested.

Both sessions will be held virtually on Zoom. Anyone can attend either session. They will be virtually the same content.
However, the Q&A portion will be structured to allow specific groups to ask questions or provide feedback first.  View the full agenda.

Session 1, 8:30 AM-11:30 AM: Focus on the vendor

Questions will be taken from small, veteran, and diverse vendors first. All other vendors will have an opportunity to ask questions or provide feedback at the end of the session.
