There is still time to apply for 2024 WFTC

Tax Day may have passed, but there is still time to apply for the 2024 WFTC. If you’re not sure if you’re eligible, use the WFTC eligibility checker. This checker is updated for tax year 2024 to match the adjusted income thresholds and refund amounts.

Get in-person application help at any DOR office

Did you know that you can apply for WFTC at any of the DOR field offices? Visit one of our 12 office locations year-round to submit your application using one of our kiosks or receive in-person assistance. Additional language support is available.

Claim your tax credit for tax years 2022 and 2023

It’s not too late to apply for tax years 2022 and 2023! The deadline for tax year 2022 is December 31, 2026, and tax year 2023 is December 31, 2027.

Apply at one of our free application events, online using MyDOR (our secure filing system), or at one of our local offices.  

File taxes for free

Although many free federal tax preparation services have closed for the tax year, there are still ways to get free help! Click here for a list of community organizations providing no cost support. You can also attend one of our application events for WFTC assistance. Find an event near you here.

Where is your refund? Check online!

Check your application status by using our Where is my refund tool--no login required. It will show the status of all tax years you’ve applied for. 

All you need is your SSN or ITIN, date of birth, and the income reported on Line 1z of your federal tax form 1040 or 1040-SR. Call our call center at (360) 763-7300 for questions.
