Celebrating Bilingualism: OneAmerica's 2019 Advocacy Kickoff
Join us to learn about OneAmerica's 2019 regional and state-wide advocacy priorities and celebrate the work of OneAmerica community leaders and the ELL Work Group to advance the SPEAK YOUR LANGUAGE campaign!
Our 2019 advocacy priorities build off tremendous success of previous years and propose new, innovative initiatives to continue the critical work of transforming our education system to best serve our region and state's English Learner students. The event will also kick-off the release of the 2018 OneAmerica and ELL Work Group report which highlights past victories and future priorities.
OneAmerica's state-wide SPEAK YOUR LANGUAGE campaign is a multi-year campaign that works hand-in-hand with community leaders and policy makers to honor the importance of home language in our communities and advance policy changes that close opportunity gaps for English learners and multilingual students.
The event begins promptly at 12pm. Check-in opens at 11am to provide refreshments and lunch prior to start of the agenda.
