City of Tacoma's Special Events Bulletin
This subscription-generated, weekly bulletin provides current information about special event permit applications that have been filed with the Special Events Office. If you wish to continue receiving regular updates, you won't need to do anything. If you wish to unsubscribe, see the bottom of this email message.
NOTE: The event times listed are for the actual event, and street closures will start earlier and end later. See www.cityoftacoma.org/events calendar for details on street closures.
View all of Tacoma's upcoming special events on the City's website - you can access road closure information and the issued permits here, too.
Go to Metro Parks' website to find out what's going on in our fabulous parks and how to reserve one of their parks for your event.
For events and concerts at the Tacoma Dome, visit the Tacoma Dome Website, or the Facebook Page.
The City’s Green Event Program helps events have a more sustainable impact on the environment. The program is mandatory for medium to large events (over 1,000 attendees) and requires an application form consisting of a Scorecard Application, Waste Management Plan, and optional Environmental Services Event Support form for free or reduced in-kind services (trash, recycling, portable toilets). An Event Wrap-Up Form is also required.
Participating in the program allows events to earn recognition for their sustainable endeavors and furthers the sustainability vision of the community. Visit www.cityoftacoma.org/GreenEvents to learn more,
       or email sustainability@cityoftacoma.org.
